It is now more than 200 thousand citizens dead from Covid-19 – two hundred Americans dead inside our own borders, and counting. This is horrible. Let us not forget the six million reported infections in America. What in the world are we doing! These are only reported cases of infection and fatalities. Who knows what the real numbers would be if we can figure out how many cases go unreported! My guess is that these numbers would be higher.
These numbers may be close to proper quantification. How does anyone quantify the very stressful breathing that these people go through, whether they survive or not! Experts and surviving patients tell us that people experience unpleasant residual effects of Covid-19 even after treatment. When are we going to stop denying the ravages of this scorch and stop “soft handling” this pandemic and denying the ravages of its damage to lives, the well-being of people, and yes, even, our economy- many are out of work, businesses are closing, probably never to reopen.
We cannot keep denying, lying, or soft handling our way through this sad truth while this thing ravages our country through persons, places, villages, towns, and state borders. How much more shall we suffer and die before we put our minds and actions where Science, Medicine and, Society congregate intelligently to meet this need of our society to mange this one horrible ill, let alone eradicate it in the long run effectively and permanently with empathy for those who suffer, all of us who live in fear of this, the business owners and their employees, corporations that are not exempt from the same ravages of Covid-19 that individuals, small businesses, and large corporations, local national, and global suffer health-wise and economically! How long? How much more? How many more healthcare professional do we need to listen to and not heed to? And for how long?
Covid-19 is not selective as to whom to infect or spare. This is not a common cold. We should not handle it or take it lightly as such.
The experts, when they are not under pressure, have spoken. We ought to listen.
First, let us stop this “tic- tac- toe”, “hit and miss” school openings and closings. Shouldn’t we just close all schools for one full semester? This partly in person and partly online scheme is to me, like partly true and partly false. That approach does not yield us the right result which will be the containment of, and healing from covid-19.

: -Sanitize
: – Enough PPE for all front-line workers in all states, in fact, for every American that needs it.
: – Wait patiently for Science and Medicine to provide us with safe vaccines.
: – Science and medical experts are still working on this. They will not give up working for our well-being. Give them the free hand and other support they need to produce and give us the safest, best tested, and approved vaccine possible in reasonable time without the dangerous pressure to rush an unsafe product that may do more harm than good to the masses.
For now, let’s use what we have: masks, hand washing, hand- sanitizing, social distancing, other hygienic practices we learned from kindergarten, common sense. instead of burying our heads in the sand like the Ostrich. There is danger. We cannot deny it. We have observed, known of, or felt the ravages of Covid-19. We need to act Now. We cannot reclaim the lives that are lost already. There are people walking around with the sad residuals from the disease, though they live. Let’s honor all of them by protecting those who live (now).
We must act now. The experts are leading us through this darkness with the torch of Science and Medical knowledge.
We must, in order to survive, discard the failures of the past 6-9 months, listen to and follow the guidelines of these trained scientists and medical professionals NOW!
