Please, let our children live and learn. Keep the darned schools closed, “stupid”.
One semester, even, two semesters out of school, will not irreparably harm our students, but the scorch of covid-19 infection and the aftermath there from, can surely be devastating.
How many more of us have to get very sick or die before we yield to the warnings or directives of scientists and sensible medical practitioners? I have listened to the advice of seasoned medical experts, and all of us have heard their words of caution based on sound medical knowledge. Please, let sense and true caring guide us. It is much more than enough time to let educated/informed medical science bear sway over a rush to reopen schools and businesses. What’s the goal here! Is it a deceptive rush to embrace an unvetted, off the cuff policy for political expedience!
“Live and let live”, and let “business as usual” wait! These are not normal times. The best policy must be that of common sense over hunting for votes and power “by any means necessary”, (especially if it involves unethical or immoral behavior, no matter the bravado that accompanies same pursuit).
Let us live to learn, to work, to vote safely, and live in health and peace, and let me add, serve our nation with honesty and pride.
